Felix jumped from rock to rock. Watching her steps and being careful not to slip. On wrong move and she would fall. Her tail dragged behind her brushing the rocks as she jumped. Felix put her paw up on another ledge and it broke underneth just her one paw. The waterfall roared by her sending fast moving water down the cliff. Little clouds rolled in the blue sky with hawks just somewhat floating and going up higher with every wind current. She reached the top and looked over the land. Watching all of the elk, and deer run through the forest.

Kiki lay on the bank, the sunshine warming her body. She watched a butterfly soar up into the sky and followed it's path. She looked up at the big cliff, catching another wolf's scent. She saw a streak of brown and blue. She grinned as she recognized her friend.

She jumped up and howled to the wolf. "Hey Felix!"

Felix looked down off the cliff to see other wolf.
"Hey Kiki!" She howled back down. Felix couldn't rememeber the last time she had seen her. The sun was high in the sky now and every thing was lighting up. She headed back down the cliff at a fast rate towards Kiki.

Kiki padded towards Felix, happy that they'd seen each other. It had been ages since they'd last seen each other.

She stopped on the edge of the river and watched Felix come towards her. The sun beat down on her pelt and she lay down and lazily swept the ground with her tail. She smiled. "It's been a while, huh?" She said.

Felix tackled Kiki at full speeds. She was so happy. They rolled to a stop and Felix stood up and looked at Kiki. Her tail was wagging back and forth wildly.
"It has been a while. What have you been up too?" Felix panted out. Then she laid down and closed her eyes letting the sun warm her light brown and blue fur.

Kiki spat out dust and shook herself. She lay down with her paws in the water. She watched a small newt swim around her paws.

"Well I went to the city... And survived there for a while. It was fun!" She laughed and rolled onto her back. "Then I came here. I wondered where you were."

Felix opened her eyes and looked down into the water and watched the newt swim around Kiki's paws.
"A city?" She asked in amazment. Felix had only lived in the forest and the wild all of her life. She didn't know anything about cities.
"Well I am glad you came back." Felix stood up and shook the dirt off. "By the way.. I am getting hungry. Ready to go hunting?" She had a hunting plan mapped out in the back of her head and was eager to get something to eat.

Kiki nodded and rose to her feet, one paw still in the water. "Yeah... the city. Very loud and it hurt my ears. It smelt bad and there were humans everywhere. And huge tall buildings that were made out of rock... it wasn't a place for a wolf, thats for sure."

She shook herself and bent to drink the water. The newt swam out of her way and her gold nose markings glowed under the water. She stopped and looked back at Felix. She was hungry. "Sure! I haven't eaten since... Since yesterday." She laughed and pawed the dirt. "Shall we?"

Felix was sure she never wanted to go to a city. It seemed like a bad place.
"Ok well lets go." Felix turn and ran through the woods and kept smelling the air and getting different scents. She swiftly jumped over objects and landed softly without a sound. Her tail stayed straight without dragging on the ground so she was even more quiet. Felix stopped and got low to the ground and looked forward at her prey. The elk grazed in front, lifting its head up once in a while to look around and went back to eating. Felix stayed down towards the ground and turned her head towards Kiki.
"Ok I have a hunting plan that will make this fast and an easy kill." She whispered.

Kiki panted as she drew close to Felix. She spotted the elk and quietened her breathing. Her stomach felt empty and the blood-rush began to take hold of her. She bared her teeth.

"Okay so what is your plan?" She said quietly, her small paws gently scraping the dirt and her tail twitching.

"I'll go around and you stay here. We'll close in on it." Felix got up and ran around to the other side in the woods. Still quite and breathing steadily. Felix got to the other side and crouched down. She looked acrossed spotting Kiki on the other side. Felix crawled towards the sun light of the meadow and put her tail in the sun light signaling Kiki that they we're going to attack. The elk was still grazing, unaware of the two wolves.

Kiki shrugged and murmured an "Okay,".

She saw Felix creep stealthily around the elk and swish her tail. Kiki took one sniff and smelt the elk's scent, sensing that it didn't know about them and that it was full from eating grass. It was also downwind. It didn't have a chance.

Kiki crept forwards slowly, and when she was at the brink of cover she leapt towards the elk's flank. In a rush she saw Felix's blue back and the elk's startled eyes as it turned it's big head to focus on her as she flew towards it.

Felix ran out and took it down at the legs. Biting and scratching. The elk fell to its knees. Felix ran towards its neck and bit into it. Soon the elk stopped struggling and just laid there limp. Felix lifted her head and looked at Kiki, panting.
"All right!" She said happily. "We make a good team." Felix laid down and started eating.

Kiki's teeth were buried into the elk's massive flank. She ripped her teeth out and spat the skin out. She grinned. "Yes, we do!" She sat down and licked around her teeth, swallowing the blood and scraps of hide.

She began to chew the soft raw meat. It tasted good and it filled her stomach quickly. She backed off and flopped down in a sunny spot, closing her eyes and breathing heavily. "That's good stuff." She said with a smile.

Felix finished eatting and the whole elk was no just bones and skin. She was so stuffed. They picked out a good prey. Felix rolled over nice and full. She closed her eyes.
"Yes it was good stuff." Felix sighed and let the sun warm her again.
