It felt good to be back, but something was missing...Wolves...it seemed to be empty at White Wind, deer were smaller and skinny since their population had grown dramatically since the last disappearance of the wolves. Sick deer were not cleaned from the herds and made weak genes for the newborns. Tadita new it was up to her to cleanse the forest of the sickness that inhabited it. It was time to hunt.

Crystal, a yound Snow Leapord, walked in the direction that the scent of deer was coming from. Thats when she saw the wolf. she walked out to it, but stopped at a distance.

Shadow had his muzzle close to the ground as he picked up the scent of deer. He walked for a little way and stoped as a new scent came to him. A wolf and a Lynx. He walked on, his eyes scaning the area around him as he went.

Crystal smelled a new scent and looked in its direction. she saw another wolf there.

(yeah..I knew that...not really lol)

Shadow saw the lynx look in his direction and stoped for a second. He raised his head slightly and walked torward it.

"Hello" she says to the wolf

He just looks at her for a minute before saying anything "Hello, my name is Shadow, who are you?"

(oh wait, im not a Lynx! im a snow Leopard! lol)

"My name is Crystal" she replies

Tadita could sense the two animals headed in her direction. She stood over her prized kill, ready to defend it and her territory. Light snow began to drift with the cold breeze from the north. A storm was approaching from the mountains. Tadita new she had to find shelter soon. She began to gorge herself on the deer while keeping her attention on the direction of both the lynx and wolf.

Crystal flicked her tail "I need to hunt before the storm comes. Is that where you are going also?"

"Yes it is." Shadow looked around him, and then back at Crystal.

Tadita could only eat the flanks of the deer. Forcing her to leave the old buck for any scavenger who may happen by. She new the safest place to hide was her old den, but it was upsetting to even look at it. She headed into the thickets of the woods in search of a safe place to rest.

"Ok, well I'm going to go hunt then." Crystal walks in the direction of the deer scent

There was a flicker of movement in the trees. A large white bird perched on a low hanging branch. At first glance, it looked to be a gull.
The bird let out a hoarse caw, then dropped from the branch and glided gently to the ground.
Up close, it was clear the bird was not a gull at all, but rather a raven. An under fed one, too. Her eyes were a misty blue, showing her eyes were not as strong as a normal raven.
Even with her poor eyes, she could see the creature before her was a dark colored wolf... with blue markings?

"Beg pardon, but... Are you finished with that deer?" She asked the wolf.

Crystal follows the scent of deer, until she comes across a carcass. she sniffs the air around it. 'Wolf.' she thinks to herself. she looks around to see if it is still here, and seeing that its not, she begins to eat.
